Can I get my items wet?
Stainless steel will not rust, tarnish or turn your skin green, if you get it wet. If you choose a piece in our unplated stainless steel finish, you can swim or shower with your piece as much as you like. If you choose a plated piece such as gold or black for example, we recommend you avoid getting your piece wet, as the chemicals in soap or swimming pools may corrode the plating. But getting a bit of water on them every now and again will not be an issue.
However, you should always lightly dry your pieces after getting them wet. If you leave your items in water, they may become damaged and they will not be covered under warranty.
Plated accessories (i.e. Gold, Black or Pink colours):
Getting plated jewelry wet from time to time won’t be an issue, but avoid exposing it to constant moisture to help plating last as long as possible.
Our plated jewelry is waterproof, but you should still avoid showering or washing your hands with your plated jewelry on — this is because the chemicals in soap can be corrosive to the plating and cause it to fade.
Unplated accessories (i.e. Stainless Steel colour):
- Stainless Steel is waterproof, and will not rust, tarnish or discolour if you get it wet, so there is no need to take it off when showering or washing your hands.
