What should I do to take care of my stainless steel item?

General Guidelines:

• Avoid grinding or scraping on hard surfaces as this will scratch the plating.
• Clean with a microfibre cloth or 100% cotton fabric to remove light surface grime and restore lustre to your items.

We suggest taking your items off when doing the following:

• Washing your hands with harsh soaps or chemicals.
• Using skin care products, hair care products or fragrances. 
• Performing rigorous activities such as sports, going to the gym or physical labour.
• Meal preparation or food handling.
• If you have a plated piece, such as gold or black, remove your jewelry before showering, bathing or swimming in pools, oceans or hot tubs.

Despite the fact that stainless steel will not tarnish or rust with exposure to water, it is a best practice to keep your items clean and dry to ensure improved longevity. It is also best practice to give your items a good polish every now and again to help preserve it's appearance.
